OnlyWine:
I'm hitting OnlyWine in Città di Castello this April, 27th to 29th. It's big for new blood in wine. They're spotlighting the top 100 small producers. Think bold, innovative. Criteria? Wineries under 40 years, or with less than 15 years in the game, or just small, up to 7 hectares.
The spot's Palazzo Vitelli a Sant’Egidio, the heart of Città di Castello. This fest's not just showing off local wines. It's pushing wine culture, here and abroad. Italy's winemaking? It's excellent, dynamic.
You want in? They've got tastings, master classes, and a market. It's a key wine fair now, mixing the old with the new. Plus, they're big on sustainability now.

Palio del Chiaretto:
I'm also going to Lake Garda for the Palio del Chiaretto. It's in Bardolino, celebrating their rosé, Bardolino Chiaretto. The 2024 bash runs May 31 to June 2. It's a big deal in Italy for rosé lovers. Wine, food, music, culture – they mix it all.
You walk from Cisano to Punta Cornicello, tasting Bardolino Chiaretto. They've got "Classico DOC" and "Spumante DOC." You learn what makes this wine tick.
They've got wine stands, live tunes, dragon boat races, tours, and more. On June 1, there's a dragon boat race and evening music at Carrara Bottagisio Park and Cisano port. June 2 brings more races, a parade, music, and fireworks to wrap it up.
Stay updated via their social media – Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. The Comune di Bardolino website has the nitty-gritty. Need more? Head to Visit Bardolino's site for the full schedule.
Bardolino Wine Festival:
Bardolino has their "Festa dell'Uva e del Vino" from October 3rd to 7th, 2024. They're celebrating the new Bardolino wine. The fest is huge around here. It showcases Bardolino DOC, made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. The atmosphere buzzes with energy. There's wine tasting, food, music, theater, and talks about wine. Right by the lake, you can taste and buy wines. It attracts a crowd, so book hotels early.
