Today Italy is moving into phase two. It’s been months since we have been worrying about our entire family there and all of our friends. My in-laws in Lombardia are worried for us still and just yesterday were telling us how we even should be seated while in a car. We are also moving into phase two here back home. In a few weeks we were supposed to be leaving for the summer in Italy. I took this photo in Aosta June 2019. I was always fascinated by the groups gathering around in every city all over Italy. This is the first summer in 20 years I won’t be excitedly packing my suitcase to go to where the other half of my heart lives. Wishing my friends and family in Italy good luck today and to stay safe and healthy moving on to this next stage. 💙

My daughter and mom have been pushing me to post again to my IG😅. I’ve been making lots of recipes with things I bought for staying home. This simple vegan Cabbage, Lentil and Chickpea Stew recipe comes together quickly with mostly pantry ingredients.
