I tend to make something that is super simple and really amazing. I will be so proud of myself and share it with my neighbors, my family and friends. I'll then forget all about the wonderful and easy recipe. Recipes like fudge.

Homemade Twix Bars

I oftentimes come across a recipe and I end up pinning it. If I bookmark it, it is a recipe that I think one day I may actually get around to trying. Some recipes remain in my mind longer than others.

Nectarine Chiffon Upside-Down Cake-Tuesdays with Dorie

The first Tuesdays with Dorie recipe for the month of September was a beautiful cake made with a ripe summer stone fruit. I had already bookmarked the recipe in my Baking with Julia book. I had to because it was an upside-down cake. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know I really like them.

Cheesy Pull-Apart Bread- #TwelveLoaves September

It seems this #TwelveLoaves bread baking group has gotten my oven working overtime and my flour running out quicker than it normally does. A theme is chosen for the next Twelve Loaves challenge and my head starts spinning with ideas. Homemade bread is constantly on my mind. Not that that’s a bad thing.

Silent Sunday Italy: A Little Bit of Tuscany

This is the path where we walked in the morning in a little town right outside of Siena. The graveled road is adjacent to the tallest cypress trees I’ve ever seen. Their points seem to almost pierce the bright sky on this hot afternoon in Tuscany.
